"I get to work out about five days a week and I really change it because I would lose my mind if I did the same thing over and over again," Jenny McCarthy told Shape. "If I only have two minutes, I have a go to workout and that is lunges, sit-ups and push- ups."
According to OK! Magazine, the model has been working out with trainer Mark Harari to maintain her incredible abs. She also has one go-to food whenever she needs to lose a couple of pounds.
"My new favorite thing is my soup diet," she told Shape. "I make a ton of nutritious ones, like butternut squash and vegetable. When I want to drop 5 pounds quickly I eat them for every meal for about 10 days."
Jenny McCarthy and her abs also appeared on the cover of Shape around four years ago. At the time, she told the magazine that she maintained her post-partem physique thanks to Weight Watchers. She and her son, Evan, also began cutting gluten and dairy out of their diet, a change that helped curb Evan's autism symptoms. She still follows this diet to this day.
At the time, her typical meal included an omlette for breakfast, fish with fruit and/or vegetables for lunch and dinner, and nuts from Starbucks as a snack.
But while Jenny McCarthy still boasts impressive abs even at her age, she still makes room for some treats every now and then.
"Chinese food and pizza!" Jenny McCarthy said of her cheat foods. "There's this place in Chicago called Giordano's which has the best deep-dish pizza in the world. It's my therapist, my best friend, and my boyfriend on Friday nights."
And when McCarthy and her abs are in the mood for something sweet, the model prefers a particular dessert as well.
"The one food splurge that I can't live without is my chocolate milkshake," McCarthy said. "Don't get me diamonds just get me a chocolate milkshake."
This has been a good year for Jenny McCarthy overall. Not only did she make the cover of this month's Shape, but she and her abs also appeared on the cover of Playboy back in the summer. The actress told People at the time that she wanted to appear in shape but not too skinny for her cover photo.
"The one thing I like about Playboy is they don't have the anorexic look," she said. "The women are voluptuous. So I didn't really want to diet. I just wanted to tone up."
