Cat Born Without Leg Bones; Adorable Kitten Named Harvey Walks On Elbows [VIDEO AND PHOTOS]
A cat born without leg bones would normally be in for a rough life. Fortunately for Harvey, a 4-month-old cat with radial agenesis, the internet loves to take care of disabled cats. The cat born without leg bones was given to U.K. animal charity Cats Protection in December, and initially volunteers thought his legs had been broken. An x-ray revealed the truth -- Harvey the cat was born without leg bones. As you can see in this video, being a cat born without leg bones hasn't diminished Harvey feistiness or charm.

Harvey, the cat born without leg bones, needs an operation to repair his damaged legs. Metal pins will be inserted in place of bones and after rehab, Harvey should have a normal life. Although he appears to get by just fine for a cat born without leg bones, Harvey could develop serious spinal injuries if his condition were left untreated. Right now, the cat born without leg bones is living with a foster family, and his caretaker Liz Mcculloch told The Sun he acts just like any other kitten.
"He's a lovely little thing," she told the Sun. "Because Harvey was born that way he doesn't know there's anything wrong with him so he runs around on his elbows and happily plays with my other cat and dog."
The Cats Protection charity set up a fundraising page for Harvey and, not surprisingly, people from all over the world answered the call. According to the page, the Glasgow vet school has only seen five cases of radial agenesis in cats since 1975. Harvey's condition as a cat born without leg bones is certainly a rare one, but fortunately he'll be getting the help he needs.
