In the latest Jodi Arias trial update, Jodi Arias' defense team played a graphic hour-long sex tape referencing rape, porn and sexual fantasies for the jury during the fifth day of testimony from Arias, who is accused of brutally killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, according to reports.

Arias' defense team said that the sex tape was of a phone conversation Arias recorded just weeks before prosecutors say she shot Alexander in the head, stabbed him 27 times and slit his throat from ear to ear in his Mesa, Ariz., apartment on June 4, 2008. As the sex tape was played, ABC News notes that the 32-year-old Arias hid herself behind her hands and hair as her voice on the recording could be heard moaning while her mother and sister listened from the front row of the court room gallery.

The defense played the audio recording hoping to show that Alexander was a sexual "deviant" and that the image he projected to his friends of a devout Mormon virgin was contradictory to the erotic sex life and fantasies he engaged in with Arias. They also hope to convince the jury that Alexander was so obsessed with sex, abusive, manipulative and controlling toward Arias, that she plausibly could have killed him out of self-defense during a sexual encounter that turned violent. Finally, the tape may also demonstrate that there was no jealousy between Arias and Alexander over the fact that they were no longer dating and would likely marry other people, which would dispel the prosecution's claim that Arias killed Alexander out of jealousy.

"I am going to tie you to a tree and put it in your a** all the way," said Alexander on the tape.

"Oh my God that is so debasing, but I like it," Arias responded.

Arias later explained that she didn't want to insult his fantasies, so she said that she liked them. She also said that she complimented his stamina, penis and sexual abilities because he "thrived on compliments."

"You're pretty, you're so attractive," Alexander said later on in the sex tape. "I've never seen you look bad in my life. There are times when you've looked miserable and I've still, like, raped you."

Eventually, both Arias and Alexander admitted that they were masturbating while they spoke on the phone.

"Before I met you I would never [masturbate], but now I do it two to three times a day," Alexander said.

And then, Arias' breathing intensified followed by her reaching an orgasm.

"The way you moan, Jodi, sounds like a 12-year-old girl having her first orgasm -- So hot," Alexander said.

"You're bad, you make me feel so dirty," Arias responded.

In addition to the graphic part of the conversation, Arias and Alexander talked, laughed and sang songs and also discussed people they both knew, places they wanted to travel, comic books, the merits of K-Y Jelly, movies and music before Alexander said he was going to go to sleep.

"Let's try to astral project and we can find each other while we are sleeping," Arias said before hanging up.

Arias' testimony will resume Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., ET.

If convicted, she faces the possibility of the death penalty.
