Katie Couric 911 Calls: Crazy Prankster Or Spooky Ghost? [REPORT]
Katie Couric isn't placing the 911 calls from her late-husband's phone line. So who is?
For the last few weeks, police have been receiving countless 911 calls from Katie Couric's home. But Couric hasn't placed a single call. The 911 calls are coming from her late-husband's phone line, which she almost never uses.
Now Katie Couric is panicked. She doesn't know if she's been played for a fool by a crazy prankster or if the Couric apartment is actually haunted by her late-husband, Jay Monahan.

Though the first scenario - i.e. a crazy Couric 911 prankster - is far more likely, Couric reportedly feels a bit spooked by the possibility that Monahan, who died of cancer in 1998 could somehow be lurking in her NYC home.
"We are deeply saddened by his death," NBC said in a statement at the time. "He was a valued member of the NBC News family and will be missed."
Couric and Monahan married in 1989, around the same time she became a Pentagon correspondent for NBC. Katie Couric was left with two daughters: Elinor and Caroline
Couric's late husband was diagnosed with colon cancer and went through surgery, but the cancer had advanced too much.
Now Couric, her daughters and the police don't know what to make of the eerie 911 calls. The Daily News is calling it Katie's "911 Hell," and most fans agree.
Even more freaky than the frequent and mysterious 911 calls is that they are always placed at 2 a.m. on Tuesday mornings. There have been 10 calls to date
Couric told her audience that she's rarely in her apartment when the 911 calls are made to the police. "It's happened like three times the last three weeks," she said. "Every day, every time at 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning. I was out of town the last time it happened and apparently it happened before when nobody was home."
After her late husband's death, Couric dated Brooks Perlin, who was 17 years younger, for five years, and financier John Molner.
Couric, 56, lives in NYC with her two daughters, who are now 21 and 17.
