Paul Bearer dies. The recent WWE headline making the rounds online might be considered ironic if the cleverly named pro-wrestling coach (real name William Moody) wasn't a beloved figure both in and outside the ring. The pale-faced WWE manager, often seen carrying an urn, was reported dead by his family on Tuesday. The cause of death has not be released.
Paul Bearer began his career working at indipendent wrestling events before joining WWE (the WWF) in 1990 and teaming up with the Undertaker. It was a match made in Hell, an manager dressed as a creepy funeral home owner and a wrestler who claimed to be an undead monster with magic powers.
Before Paul Bearer died he also managed the Undertaker's "half-brother" Kane as well as Mick "Mankind" Foley, another bad guy wrestler. The WWE manager was best known for his catchprashe, "Ooohhh yeeesss!" as well as his ghoulish facial expressions.
Paul Bearer dies this week, but the WWE star cheated death more than once for the sake of entertainment. Once her was trapped in a glass coffin and buried in concrete (he survived). In his now-final WWE appearance in 2012 he was locked in a freezer by rival Randy Ortin, only surviving when Kane discovered him in time.
