Deer In Trunk Not Dead; Watch The Surprise Escape That Startled Cops [VIDEO]
A deer in a car trunk was not dead, and it had more than enough life to startle Kalamazoo, Mich. Police officers who inspected the vehicle. Officer David Miller was on a routine patrol when he encountered a man sitting in his car in the parking lot of a Red Roof Inn. The man told the officer he was having a crazy day and explained he had hit a deer with his car and was going to use the meat to feed his family. Officer Miller persuaded the man to let him check the carcass for an ID tag, but the deer in the trunk was not dead. A dashboard police cam captured Miller's reaction:

Not only was the deer in the trunk not dead, but it's living a second life as an Internet sensation. According to a press release from the Kalamazoo Police, "CNN played the video. NBC played the video. Local news affiliates from Nashville to the Oregon News Today have played the video. Hundreds of people have shared the clip on Facebook pages, and thousands have read its story online."
KDPS Lt. Stacey Geik, who sent out the video, with the accompanying news release explaining its humorous circumstances, said Wednesday that "officers often are encountering unique situations. It was a fun story, to maybe get a smile on people's faces for a change."
No doubt the deer in the trunk not dead story is reminding fans of 90s comedies about the infamous deer scene in the Chris Farley movie "Tommy Boy."
