Evie Branan, a 79-year-old Michigan woman, only had one thing on her mind when she recovered from a five-year coma: Bob Seeger. Branan's coma request for Bob Seeger didn't happen overnight, it took two years for her coma request for Bob Seeger to become a reality. But when it finally happened, Branan got more than she could've hoped. ON Thursday night Branan's coma request for Bob Seeger tickets came true with not only a concert, but a visit from the man himself.

"He come over to me and put his hand out and shook my hand and says, 'Hi Evie, I'm so glad to meet you,' and I said, 'Oh Bob, I am so happy to meet you, I never thought this would happen,'" Branan told WLS-TV.

Branan's coma request for Bob Seeger culminated in what she called "the happiest I've been in a long time." Branan and some friends got a limo ride to the show and backstage passes on top of the thrill of meeting the legendary rock singer. And she has the staff at Willowbrook Manor, the nursing home where she lives, to thank for arranging the special occasion.

"I've never seen this ,and it was just something that was really touching to me," Willowbrook Manor administrator Michelle Cross told WLS-TV. "That this lady had lost a lot of her life, and she's getting it back, but I wanted to give her what she missed."

Branan didn't just wake up one day and make her post-coma request for Bob Seeger tickets. She came out of a stroke-related coma with severe memory loss. She had difficulty speaking and eating. It wasn't until she accidentally fell on a trip to the bathroom and bumped her head off the floor that her memory started to return. And when it did the first thing she wanted was Bob Seeger. When she got the news that her coma request for Bob Seeger was being granted she had only one goal in mind.

"I'm learning how to stand so I can hug him, and I'm going to hug him and give him a great big smooch!" Branon said.

Here's a local news report of Branan about the Bob Seeger concert :
