Ga. Ambulance Crash Tragedy: 2 EMT And Patient Killed In High Speed Semi Truck Collision [VIDEO]
A Ga. ambulance crash occurred Thursday morning on state Highway 32 near the small town of Ocilla, according to the Georgia State Patrol. According to authorities, two medics and a patient on board the ambulance were killed.
Traveling at a rapid pace while blaring its lights and sirens. a Coffee County ambulance headed east when a westbound semi truck jack-knifed across the centerline, directly into the path of the ambulance. Failing to slow, the ambulance struck the left side of the large truck.

According to Georgia state patrol, the dead victims involved in the crash are emergency medical technicians identified as Teresa Ann Davis, 44, of Axson, who was driving the ambulance; and Randall Whiddon, 56, of Ashburn, who was riding in the front passenger seat.The patient was 65-year-old Charles Arvin Smith of Tifton.
While it is not immediately known why the semi truck jack-knifed over the centerline, authorities noted thunderstands over parts of Georgia early Thursday morning may or may not have been a contributing factor to the crash. The driver of the semi truck is Rockwell Lott of Tifton.
