Three rare liliger cubs were born at a Zoo in Novosibirsk, the third largest city of Russia. A remarkable little animal, the three baby liliger girls are born to Zita, their liger (lion-tiger hybrid) mother who was born in the zoo in 2004, and their African lion father, Sam. A Liger is regarded as the largest known cat in the world.

The first liliger cub was born last year. The family's second litter of three younglings was born in May. The three cubs have only just grown enough to cavort in the zoo's surroundings.

Exhibiting a combination of characteristics, ligers enjoy the ability to swim like the tiger and are also very sociable felines like the lions as well.

Ligers are exceptionally rare and are not known to exist in the wild as their habitats never cross. What's more, the massive ligers grow to sizes even larger than either of its parental species.

Without further ado, don't miss the heartwarming video of the precious liliger cubs.
