Cage To Quit Smoking? Ibrahim Yücel Wears Metal Mask Around Head To End Cigarette Habit [VIDEO]
A cage to quit smoking? It sounds crazy, but not to one Turkish man whose 26-year-long smoking habit had ballooned to two packs of cigarettes a day. In a desperate attempt to kick the vice, Ibrahim Yücel locks his head inside a metal cage every morning and leaves the keys with his wife and children before leaving the house. The cage, a quit-smoking device that looks something like a small birdcage stuck to his head, is sure to cause some rubbernecking out on the streets.

The 42-year-old Turkish man, whose father died of lung cancer, has been smoking since he was 16. According to Medical Daily, Yucel developed the bizarre method to quit smoking after getting frustrated with more traditional approaches that weren't working for him.
Emirates 24/7 reports that Yucel first donned the cage to quit smoking on July 1. Assuming Yucel doesn't have a spare key hidden somewhere outside the home, that's six days without a puff from a cigarette.
