Taco Bell Waffle Taco: Calories, Nutrition Info Revealed As Breakfast Taco Rolls Out Across Nation
The Taco Bell Waffle Taco was first introduced as an experiment in five locations in Southern California. After the waffle taco instantly became the best-selling morning menu item at the five locations, the fast food restaurant chain has now announced that the Taco Bell Waffle Taco will be expanding its availability to 100 more franchises across the country!
While a Taco Bell Waffle Taco may sound like a stroke of creative genius for fast food enthusiasts, its composition is quite straight forward: a waffle taco drizzled in maple syrup holds together two scrambled eggs, and sausage. Essentially, it's a breakfast plate in a convenient, handheld package.

Starting Thursday, the Taco Bell Waffle Taco will arrive to franchises including Fresno, California; Omaha, Nebraska; and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Taco Bell president Brian Niccol says that the Taco Bell Waffle Taco rollout to 100 additional locations is to have a better grasp of how the restaurants will handle the operational pressure of the new product as well as how well the product will perform in other markets. Should the latest Taco Bell Waffle Taco perform as well as it did in the initial five locations, Brian Niccol believes the new breakfast item will become a fixture in the national menu.
"You only get one shot when you go with big items," he said.
Taco Bell has been placing particular emphasis on improving its breakfast menu as parent company Yum Brands Inc., sees the first meal of the day as the next big business opportunity for the fast food chain.
