Following the LADEE launch on Friday evening, NASA fixed an issue with the spacecraft's reaction wheels. Peter Worden, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in California, has said the issue is fixed and LADEE is on schedule.

NASA's Curiosity rover has taken the sharpest-ever images of a solar eclipse as viewed from the Red Planet. In the pictures, Phobos, the largest Martian moon, is seen going past the sun. The series of three images, taken three seconds apart, were snapped on August 17, 2013, using the Mars rover's Mastcam.
